ACC Mentor Coaching

ACC Mentor Coaching

Who I Mentor Coach

I’m hired by inspired people who want to make a difference in the world through becoming an International Coaching Federation (ICF) Certified Coach. They have gained knowledge about the competencies through a certified training and program, accumulating their one hundred coaching hours. They are ready to complete the ten hours of mentoring required for their initial Associate Coach Credential (ACC) or to renew their ACC.

Together, we will explore each competency, review what the assessors will look for, discover your strengths, and where there is room for refinement. Empowering you to confidently submit your coaching session for official review and take the core knowledge exam.

The Nuts and Bolts of the ICF ACC Mentor Coaching Requirements

  • The 10-hour requirement needs to be done over a minimum of three months, yet it can be longer.
  • Mentoring provides professional assistance in achieving and demonstrating the coaching competency and capability the desired credential level demands. This differs from coaching supervision, which covers practice building, life balance, or other topics unrelated to developing a person’s coaching skill.
  • There are different ways to accumulate your hours, yet a minimum of 3 must be 1:1 mentoring. The remaining 7 hours can be in group coaching, one-to-one sessions, or a combination.
  • You can use multiple mentors; mentors are required to hold an ICF credential in good standing. They can be ACC, provided they have already gone through at least one renewal, or PCC, MCC.
  • My qualifications for Mentor Coaching: Credential Level - PCC, ICF Assessor Training Completion, Master’s Degree in Positive Psychology – Applied Coaching, Master’s Degree in Human Development, Doctoral Candidate in Human Development with specialization in Somatics, Phenomenology, and Communicative Leadership.
